Where are the good swimming places for young children?

Postby the nana kids on Sun Oct 25, 2009 10:24 am

I just tried out the Sengkang Swimming Complex on Friday and was quite impressed by the facilities. Perhaps I haven't stepped into a public pool for a long time but was certainly quite pleased with what i saw. They're quite new (opened last year) and had a big play area for young children complete with slides and water fall etc. The security guards are also quite hands on in ensuring the older kids do not come in to the slides. For young children, the size and type of facilities are just right and my 2 young kids had a lot of fun!

The kids bath area is also located conveniently next the kids' pool which makes it easy for parents to shower the kids after their swim. Moreover, McDonald's and 7 Eleven located at the premises provide a great venue for after swim snacks!

Haven't been there over the weekend but would definitely say it's a great swimming place for young children on a weekday.

Any other swimming areas suggestions for young children?

Pools in the west like Jurong West (near Pioneer MRT),Jurong East (near Chinese Garden MRT) and in the east like Tampines are great hang out places for children of all ages.

Thought you need to be a safra member to be able to use their pool facilities?

If it's open to public, how much are the charges?
